November Anniversary Special—November 21
This November, we’re celebrating 31 years of LAGLS meetings with a group visit to the One Institute Culture Series to see Walter Williams, USC Professor of Anthropology, speak on The Role of Gay and Transgender People for the 21st Century. Based on his research among American Indian Shamans, Native Hawaiians and fieldwork in Thailand about acceptance of homosexuality and transgenderism among traditional Buddhists, he draws upon the insights found about ancient religions to suggest a new direction for gay and transgender people in the new era of human existence that is now dawning.
